Stud farms

I don't think enough women will want to pay for sex to make Heidi Fleiss' latest endeavor, a female Bordello in Las Vegas. I mean, we can generally get it for free almost any time. read about it in this week's column.

A mention of Playgirl magazine in the column prompted a note from Megan Hussey, the Possemeister of the Playgirl Posse, a fan group that's 90 percent women. She invited me to join.

Thanksgiving Bonaza

It might be a short work week, but there are two Mariel columns to enjoy this week. The first is an observation of the first real-life trial of the teleconferencing of the Los Angeles City Council. Find it here.

And sometime after midnight tonight, you can find my Thanksgiving day column about all the bird flu hype during turkey day. It's on the nifty, mariel garza page.

Enjoy!

Hey NYC, F** You!

Since everyone else in the world was writing about the California special election this week, I decided to use the opportunity to take a whack at the NYC-LA rivalry in the form of the NYC mayoral race.

I wanted (Fernando) Ferrer to tank because I'm fed up with the Big
Fancy Apple always trying to keep the City of Angels down. Yeah, don't
think we don't know about all those fruits-and-nuts jokes.
If Ferrer wins, NYC will steal L.A.'s well-deserved, and long-overdue,
thunder.

Orange Line mania

At the Daily News, we're all exicted about the opening of the new Orange Line busway, despite the accident today.

I rode it Monday morning by catching the 302 bus and then the Red Line to NoHo. Here's my account. Also, my very funny co-worker Mike Tetreault, the DN's letters editor, wrote about his own experience. Check it out here.
