Don't Mess With the Founding Fathers

Because they've got one hell of an angry constituency ready to pounce on anyone who dares question the relevance of their every utterances in the 21st century. I found this out when I penned a column suggesting the electoral college is a relic and that we in California ought to consider doling out the votes proportionally, the way Colorado is considering. Read all about it here.

And because I have elections on the brain (who doesn't), here's another column about how polling is becoming a relic as well, due to all the up and coming youngsters who don't see the reason for a land-line (as in home phone v. cell phone). Here that is. Humorous aside: On Friday night, after I wrote the column, I dreamed that Kerry won the election. I was pissed off because the east coast folks called it at p.m. pst and I hadn't voted yet!
